(if you follow me on Instagram or FB you might have seen my post). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/melaniebnewman\/\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/melaniebnewman\/<\/a> \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/melaniebnewmanwholeness\/\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/melaniebnewmanwholeness\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lindsey Stirling is a choreographer, dancer and violinist. If you don\u2019t know who she is, google her name and sit back and enjoy some high intensity entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Side-note:<\/p>\n<p>I will tell you, I play the violin and when I first saw one of her videos, I emphatically told my children that it was not possible to dance like she was and be playing the violin at the same time! I stand corrected! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Back to my message:<\/p>\n<p>Between two of her numbers, Lindsey took the time to speak to the audience about the time when her <strong>self-worth was so connected to the critics<\/strong> and what others thought about her that when they told her she was not good enough, <strong>she was devastated<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Have you experienced something similar?<\/p>\n<p>Though her experience was in front of a world-wide audience on national television, I think we can all relate to feeling not good enough. It was difficult for her to recover from that painful experience, but recover she did!<\/p>\n<p>She went on to world-wide fame and stardom.<\/p>\n<p>But <strong>before the success, she had to make a decision,<\/strong> the same decision that you and I have to make at some time in our lives. That is, to decide if we are going to allow others to define us and tell us who we are, or to stand up and claim our gifts and talents and be a presence.<\/p>\n<p>Lindsey shared with us, that she knew she had more to give, much more and that she wanted to share it with the world. She had to decide if she was going to accept what others said as her source of self-worth or have her <strong>self-worth come from within<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Self-worth is inherent in who we are. It never changes. <strong>We are eternal beings and our divine worth is constant<\/strong>. \u201cThe worth of souls is great in the sight of God.\u201d (Doctrine and Covenants 18:10)<\/p>\n<p>What about you?
